With Ramadan Mubarak around the corner, Dandy Modern Food has launched its latest menu – Feast Bersama Menu. The new menu features a range of dishes that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you craving more.
The Feast Bersama Menu boasts a variety of dishes, from tender and juicy Couscous Wonder Lamb to the fragrant and comforting Lebanese Vermicelli Rice. Each dish is carefully crafted to showcase the unique flavours and ingredients of Lebanese cuisine. The dishes are also made with the freshest and finest ingredients, ensuring that each bite is packed with flavour.
Recently, we had the pleasure of trying out the Ramadan Star Pizza and Falafel with Dip from Dandy Modern Food. First up, the Ramadan Star Pizza (RM43) stole our hearts with its unique star-shaped crust and delicious toppings. The pizza was stuffed with pulled chicken, fresh vegetables, and mozzarella cheese, creating a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The pizza was not too heavy, making it a great option for iftar or suhoor.
Next, we tried the Falafel with Dip (RM20), a classic Lebanese dish made with deep-fried chickpeas and fava beans seasoned with falafel spices. The falafel was served with Dandy flatbreads, zesty peanut sauce, cucumber sticks, and cubed tomatoes, making it a complete meal in itself. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the peanut sauce added a burst of flavor to the dish.
We try out some of their main course dishes and were blown away by the flavors and presentation. Here’s our take on some of the dishes we tried:
First up, the Wonder Lamb (RM35), which was a clear standout. The dish featured warm fluffy couscous toasted with pulled lamb shoulder, tabbouleh salad, cherry tomatoes, coriander leaves, and pomegranate seeds, served with Dandy garlic mayo. The flavors and textures of this dish were well-balanced, and the lamb was incredibly tender and juicy.
Next up, we tried the Lebanese Charcoal Grilled Chicken Rice (RM29), which featured creamy grilled boneless chicken cubes paired with juicy tomatoes, grilled green chilies, and pomegranate seeds, served with Lebanese vermicelli rice. The dish was beautifully presented, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The vermicelli rice had a subtle flavor that complemented the dish well.
Lastly, we tried the Beef Stroganoff Rice (RM36), which was a rich and comforting dish. The beef stroganoff was paired with button mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, roasted potatoes, green peas, coriander leaves, and pomegranate seeds in a creamy Mediterranean sauce, served with Lebanese vermicelli rice. The dish was flavorful and filling, making it a great option for those looking for a hearty meal.
To complete our dining experience at Dandy Modern Food Penang, we decided to try out their drinks as well. We ordered two drinks, and both were equally delightful.
The first drink we tried was the Apple Pomegranate Iced Tea (RM15). This drink was a perfect blend of flavors, with rich and refreshing brewed black tea infused with a splash of apple juice, lemon slice, diced apples, and pomegranate seeds. The drink was beautifully presented, and the pomegranate seeds added a nice crunch to each sip.
The second drink we tried was the Blueberry Chocolate Frappe (RM17.90), a dessert frappe made with blueberry and chocolate cream and topped with crushed almonds. This drink was on the sweeter side, making it a great option for those with a sweet tooth. The blueberry and chocolate cream complemented each other well, and the crushed almonds added a nice crunch to the drink.
In conclusion, our experience dining at Dandy Modern Food was exceptional. The restaurant’s Halal certified modern Mediterranean cuisine was simply mouth-watering. From their star-shaped pizza stuffed with pulled chicken to the warm and fluffy couscous toasted with pulled lamb shoulder, each dish was carefully crafted to showcase the unique flavors and ingredients of Lebanese cuisine.
Dandy Modern Food Penang’s warm and welcoming ambiance, attentive service, and delicious food and drinks make it a must-visit spot for those looking for a great dining experience. We highly recommend trying out their new Feast Bersama Menu during Ramadan Mubarak, as it features a range of dishes that will delight your taste buds.
